This week has absolutely done me in, I'm not sure whether I'm coming down with something - Joshua has been waking with a pretty nasty cough in the mornings - or if it's my comeuppance for burning the candle at both ends for the last six years or so. I thought the break from Uni might give me some more time to relax but with the never-ending housework and mountains of washing, I literally haven't stopped! I'm completely fed up with reading blog post after blog post of moans and 'keeping-it-real' negativity, so on to the good stuff. There is cold wine in my hand and mozzarella dippers in the oven so I'm hoping to bust out a few posts tonight.
The boys and I have just started reading Harry Potter and words cannot explain how excited I am about it! I loved reading these books when I was younger, you can't beat a bit of magic in my eyes! The illustrations are absolutely beautiful too, Daniel is loving this book.
I am re-watching Gilmore Girls, as if you weren't aware that it is available on Netflix now, goodbye social life.
Productivity is at an all time low round here, luckily Duplo building doesn't take much effort. Joshua's getting really good at following instructions and copying pictures, while Daniel is happy to create something new and use his imagination. Chalk and cheese these two.
Embracing the nice(r) weather, though it's been alarmingly cool in the morning, sending me into a wardrobe meltdown. Jumper, no jumper? Skirt, no skirt? The evenings have been beautiful though, and we've spent a few afternoons outside too.
I moan about this time in our lives but I do realise how lucky we are. Lucky to have our families to spend our time with, lucky to be able to afford to do the things we do. Lucky to feel safe wherever we go, my heart goes out to all those in Dallas right now.
