Inspired by 90's grunge, topknots and leather were the pick of the day. I went through a serious grunge phase at school, once every once in a while I get nostalgic! Luckily, the boys also enjoy a little rock and roll. Luanna from Le Happy is a total grunge style icon, she always looks so gorgeous!
We had an incredible day out at Marwell Zoo for Joshua's birthday treat. We've been to this zoo a handful of times before (we went last year for Daniel's birthday!) as it isn't far from us. Plus, it's a perfect size, both boys managed to walk all the way round without getting too tired, and we managed to see all the animals we wanted. Giraffes, cheetahs and tigers being top of the list of course. I love how Daniel and Joshua love animals, they were so excited, rushing to each enclosure! Daniel has even decided he wants a pet cheetah, and spends most of his time pretending to be one! They keep the cats in huge enclosures with plenty of trees and places to hide, which is amazing for them but often makes them difficult to see. The leopards were out this time, we've only ever seen them hiding up in the trees before, but Colin got an amazing video of one lying on a branch right in front of the window!
See you next time, Marwell.
Three. A pretty low key birthday, with a last minute party. When the birthday boy opens his eyes and yells "It's my birffday, all da peeple will be here for my party!" there's no arguing. Thankful for the arty cupboard. All my little monkey wanted was a nerf gun and a skateboard, so his wish was my command, plus a couple of books of course. Nanny & Grandad bought him the safety gear, which he was very impressed with.
And just like that, he's three.

I started my placement yesterday. in a sweet little local school. I taught on my first day, completely winged a lesson on Vikings (History is NOT my strong point) which seemed to impress. Baptism of fire was mentioned, but the class were angels and had some brilliant ideas. Fingers crossed the whole five weeks is like this! The boys have been good for their Nanny, and it's hard being away from them but I haven't been staying late as there isn't much to do yet. I even managed to go to the cinema last night with Mum, to see Pitch Perfect 2 - highly recommended, we laughed a lot! I'm also doing the Whole 30 food challenge for the month of June, struggling a little today, the withdrawal headaches have started but I'm hoping the energy surge comes soon! :)
