Halloween half term is over, back to school tomorrow. I always have grand plans for the holidays, and this time they didn't disappoint. Apple pumpkin printing, glow stick baths, pumpkin carving, painting, biscuit making and decorating, spaghetti brain sensory, hot chocolate with pumpkin marshmallows, we crammed a lot into that week. We drew monsters too, made monster jelly and watched Halloweentown (Hocus Pocus was my first choice, but I wasn't organised enough!) On Halloween we dressed up to go horse riding & went to pick up our superhero costumes. This is the first year we did family costumes and it was awesome! Colin was Captain America, complete with morph suit, I did the whole leather & curls for Black Widow and the boys got Iron Man & Thor outfits that they have barely taken off since. We went trick or treating but only made it to three houses before Joshua got a little worried and asked to come home, there went many decorated houses around which was a little sad. The boys sat in wait by the front door to jump up for any trick or treaters, it was really cute. We went to a Halloween party at a friends', with the boys where they did cocktails and apple bobbing in jelly, the boys jumped around on the trampoline and played Avengers with their friends & we partied till midnight! The boys even slept in till 8am the next day, hallelujah! Probably the best Halloween yet, though Joshua dressed as a kitty last year is tough to beat.
Now, it's totally okay to get giddy with excitement about Christmas. I may have started singing carols today and busted out the Baileys.
