Daniel and I set out, camera in hand, to capture some nature. We spoke about what made something living, and about taking pictures of different types of plants (otherwise my camera feed would have been full of dandelions!). He ran on ahead, while I pushed his sleeping brother, finding new things and calling back to me, "Look! Isn't it beautiful?!" We talked about colours, and the names of the flowers that I knew. We made plans to find out the names of the ones I didn't. He was so excited to be learning, to be exploring, and to be independent - taking all the pictures himself, he has since asked for my phone about a bazillion times. Such a simple, fun activity that we definitely both enjoyed!

  1. That's so sweet and after reading it made scrolling back up through the pictures more fun, while noticing the child-height perspective. He took some really great shots, what a worm!
