Being cultured.

I recently discovered that Reading has a little museum, as we only live half an hour away the boys and I went on a little adventure to check it out during half term. We got the train (after waiting foreveerrr because we were early and then it got delayed!) which the boys loved. Daniel kept pointing out everything he could see, and Joshua actually sat really nicely. The museum is only a five minute walk from the train station, and though we walked past it the first time it was easy to find. As we entered we saw another Mama with her little girl get a bag off the wall and look through so we went to nose. They have little rucksacks filled with toys and things to make the 'tour' more interactive, my boys loved the wind up torch and stuffed owl toy, and took turns carrying them all the way round. There were quite a few interactive areas, even my little ones enjoyed them (as pictured) and a few colouring stations too, the whole place was definitely aimed at children. Daniel and Joshua enjoyed rushing to the next room more than actually stopping to look at many things, but the fun things caught their attention. I'd definitely recommend checking out Reading Museum if you live close, it's free and it was a fun day out for all of us - I did a little shopping after and we caught the train back, and relaxed on the sofa with doughnuts when we got home!
