Christmas is almost definitely my favourite holiday - family, food, gift giving, all day err'day! We like to drag Christmas out round here, Christmas Eve I started the tradition of new pyjamas and a Christmas film (we all snuggled up on the sofa with a huge bowl of popcorn, dressed as elves, to watch The Grinch), Christmas morning we opened our presents at home and then went to my parents' to see my family (my amazing Mama always hosts Christmas Day), after naps we went to Colin's parents for dinner. Boxing Day we went to my parents' again, for lunch with everyone (lunch lasts hours with mains, puddings, cheese and biscuits) & games (Colin's family don't play games at Christmas, they just watch TV. At our house we're not allowed the TV on, what are the 'rules' in your house?). The days of the week were forgotten after that, but we spent an afternoon at my Uncle and Aunt's house (for lasagne and games!), and another at another Uncles' (for spaghetti and more games!). New Years Day we all went over to my other Uncles' (I have four) for a roast and belated birthday celebration for my cousin. In between we lazed around in our pyjamas and watched Christmas films, played with new toys and just enjoyed our time together. Colin's been back at work two days and Daniel has told me no fewer than a million times how much he misses him!
Daniel's big present was a new scooter, and Joshua's was a fire engine, but they were both absolutely spoiled rotten! Books, animals, games, diggers, cars, clothes, so many new things! We are all so blessed. I really enjoy hunting for the perfect gifts, wrapping them all and my little postmen handing them out. Socks was a main theme this year, because who doesn't need socks?!
Bee.
Your whole family dressed as elves totally made my day!!!
