On Saturday, we celebrated my babyboy turning three with TWO parties. Pirate Parties, as requested by the birthday boy - "Jake! and Iz! And swords!" Normally I try and steer clear of characters, but he was just so excited I couldn't say no. & in the end, it was much easier for me! In the morning, we had a party for the kiddos, complete with cupcakes and a treasure hunt (gold doubloons and jewels hidden in a ball pit) and cardboard boats. In the afternoon, we had our family and friends over, and did more food. My friends got into the spirit and came in fancy dress, aren't they just the best! My favourite things were the little sword sticks and the orange boats, thanks Pinterest! I made the cake from this tutorial, and was pretty proud of myself - it tasted good too! A big thank-you to my fiancé and my Mama, who both helped me out SO much, I couldn't have done it without them!

Lots of Love

  1. Super cute party, and I love that your friends got dressed up!

Sigh. 3 years old. I feel like 3 is when you officially can't call them a baby anymore.
