509. What Joshua Eats...

When I wrote my last weaning/solids post (here) we had just started our baby-led weaning journey and Joshua was enjoying his first sandwich. Then we worked our way through various fruits and vegetables, often steamed if they were too difficult for his little gums to bite and chew. Joshua loves feeding himself, and it's great to have two hands to eat with again! He has the most adorable way of picking up little pieces of food - with his whole hand, then wriggling his fingers in a fist so the food pops out the top! I feed Joshua first thing in the morning, when he wakes at around 7am, and then he has breakfast with us at around 8am. Today's menu was blueberries and plums, two of his favourites! I slice the plums up for him as the skins are quite difficult for him, but the flesh is nice and soft. Often, now, he will have some yogurt or toast, or even a few Cheerios with his fruit, for a little more substance.
