334. Chalk painting [SBL]

To make our sidewalk chalk a little more exciting, I decided to bring out some water and brushes & let Daniel go to town. I'd read somewhere about putting the chalks in water, for a different consistency, so we tried that too. Daniel wasn't all that impressed with those, he preferred painting with water over the chalks. He would ask me to draw something and then 'colour' it in for me. This activity lasted all afternoon, on and off, and the next time we brought out the chalks he asked for water again! We also practised sharing with the paintbrushes - Daniel kept saying 'Me good sharing. Me good boy.'nand it was adorable!

Thankfully, Daniel does not have chicken pox. Those spots totally disappeared, though I did spot a couple on his arm this morning I don't think it's anything to worry about! Phew!
We were supposed to have a friend over this afternoon but she's had to stay late at work, so I'm trying to think of something exciting to do. We spent the morning in town, running errands and both the boys were superstars, so I think we'll stay at home this afternoon. Puzzles, drawing and reading (we got some bargain books at the charity shop!) I'm still trying to introduce written numbers to Daniel so maybe we'll do a little with that too.

Lots of Love
