324. Tissue Paper Art [SBL]

I decided to add this activity to our Bucket List after finding tissue paper on offer while doing our shopping! I thought it would be great fine-motor-skill practice for Daniel to tear up the paper and stick it down. I let him choose the colours, he chose blue and blue, of course, and encouraged him to copy me ripping it up. Unfortunate, he was not at all interested in that, so I tore it all up for him. I told him he would have to use the glue first, and then stick the paper on, but let him do it all himself. He loved exploring the glue, we ended up with a lot on his hands and fingers which obviously made for difficult sticking, but he enjoyed it! Daniel, being the kind sharing soul that he is, kept offering me pieces to stick down, but would instruct me on where which was quite cute! This activity kept him busy for over half an hour, gluing and then sticking and then gluing and then sticking, and we ended up with a masterpiece! I think we'll be doing this again, not just because I have a dozen more sheets of tissue paper!!
