315. Jelly Messy Play [SBL]

Kicking off our Summer Bucket List [SBL] series! As it was my birthday on Tuesday, I thought what a perfect time to try some jelly messy play! We'd made jelly last week, I involved Daniel in the process and he LOVED it, mixing and pouring! I decided, because it was horrible weather (Hello English summer), to do this activity inside! I sat Daniel in his paddling pool, in his nappy, and gave him the bowl of jelly and a washing up bowl to explore in. The first thing he did was put his feet in! He went and got his own spatula to get the jelly out of the bowl, and wanted a spoon but I had to stop him because he had jelly-feet! It took a little while, and some encouragement, for him to actually put his hands in and experiment, but once he did he really enjoyed himself! He ate SO much jelly! Daniel played with this for around an hour, and I actually had to pry him away even then! I stuck him straight in the bath when he was finished, the jelly washed off straight away. Overall, a fab sensory activity for little ones, we loved it!



























I've just made a cheeky H&M order with my birthday money (coloured skinnies & some moccasins included!) and am about to buy a Groupon offer for a family photo session, so I'm one happy Mama! Joshua's been feeding nearly every hour all day & he fit properly into a newborn outfit today, boy's definitely growing!

We're looking forward to a quiet weekend, Colin's working (& playing golf) but we have a post-wedding party to go to tomorrow night & my big boy's going for a sleepover at Nanny & Grandad's! Excited to see some girls I haven't seen for a whole & have then meet Joshua!
