289. My hospital bag(s!)

I'be been SO uncomfortable this evening, I don't think I could possibly be any more so without actually being in labour! Thankfully, I feel better after a long bath, but I decided to re-pack my hospital bag just in case, and share for these that might be interested! I only had to stay overnight with Daniel, and I'm hoping I won't have to stay for long this time either, so we don't have many changes of clothes etc, if we need them Colin can come home and grab them. I've packed two bags, one for the actual labour & one for afterwards, so save space!

Swaddle blanket
Newborn outfit, hat and scratch mittens
Towel, bikini (I'm hoping for a water birth) & flip flops
Dressing gown

Breast pads
Nappies & muslins
Maternity towels

Disposable maternity briefs
Toothbrush & toothpaste
Shower gel
Cleansing wipes
Antibacterial hand gel
Shampoo & conditioner

Untitled
Spare sleepsuit
Pyjamas for Mama, nursing vests & bras
Cosy slippers
Clothes - leggings & vest tops
"Going home" outfit
Spare vests
Tiny hat, boots & scratch mittens

I'm almost completely convinced I've forgotten something, but I think they're all the major things! I also have a couple of magazines & my iPad to take for entertainment (Haha) He still seems pretty cosy in there, though I have dropped considerably, so we'll just have to wait and see when I'll need all this!

  2. Very similar to my hospital bags. I had packed a towel as I too have planned a water birth but after going to the birthing centre on Saturday, they told me I wouldn't need one as they will provide that and a swaddling blanket for the baby whilst I'm there. That's a few less things to carry :)
