223. Glow-stick bath!

I was so excited when I spotted these glow-sticks in our local Poundland the other afternoon! Colin laughed at me because he said it was 'cute', I was desperate to run Daniel a bath, in the dark! He humoured me when I also insisted on taking a million pictures of the darkness, but some of them came out pretty well! Daniel played in the bath for about 15 minutes before deciding he wanted to get out, which isn't very long in comparison to his normal half-hour baths but he still enjoyed waving the sticks around, and collecting them all up! I'd definitely recommend trying this out, especially for a pound!

222. 24 week pregnancy update!

How far along: 24 weeks & 6 days.

How big is baby: As big as a grapefruit, apparently. I'm entirely sure this is smaller than a cantaloupe? 10-5 to 11.8 inches, and weighing about 12.7 to 20.8 ounces.

Maternity clothes: Yes, though I have avoided the awful ruched-side maternity tops in favour of long-line vests!

Stretch marks: No!

Sleep: We had a great sleep weekend, I got to lie in until 8:30am Saturday, AND nap, & 9:30am Sunday! I'm sleeping pretty well, though I am struggling to GET to sleep. If I'm up too late my tummy starts to hurt which stops me sleeping, boo!

Best moment this week: Watching Daniel play so nicely with the baby-boy doll I bought him for "practice". Yes, occasionally he does pick it up by it's head but for the most part he's very loving and caring!! So so sweet!

Belly button in or out: Flat.

Craving: Cereal. Diet coke. Milk & chocolate. It's varying day-to-day, minute-to-minute really!

What I miss: Nothing really this week, it's flashed by so fast!

What am I looking forward to: Putting together babyboy #2's Lion King/jungle theme nursery, finally! Though I haven;t done anything about it at all! Getting excited for Daniel's birthday too, in just over a month!

220. Sunshine.

Sitting in the garden, sunlight streaming. Not quite warm enough to be without coats yet, but it is only February! Watching my boys clear the mess of a garden, forks in hand. Finding worms and roots among the soil. Feeling my newest boy wriggle in my tummy, not wanting to be forgotten. My heart nearly exploded with happiness.

219. Little bits of happiness.

EDIT: Flickr wouldn't play ball on Thursday night, and last night I went out for dinner with my Mummy friends, so this post is technically two days late. Oops!

Stephanie over at Mrs Stephanie T is hosting a new link-up every Thursday, called little bits of happiness. The idea is to think about the little things that make us smile, to remind us even when we're having a rough time (which, lets face it, with toddlers happens ALOT!) of the good things. Such a sweet and awesome idea, don't you think? So, here are a few things that have made me smile, today really!

My beautiful engagement ring! I got to pick it up yesterday, and I seriously can't stop looking at my hand and smiling!! I cannot wait to marry my best friend!

My new favourite foundation! Such great, build-able coverage and lasts all day! Amazing!

Yum. Enough said.

Relaxing in a nice bubble bath always makes me feel better, when I'm having a terrible day & feeling oh-so-pregnant!

I thought I'd cheat a little bit and link this picture of with Mandey's High on Thrifting Thursday too, even though we don't really "thrift", I picked up this little hoover at a charity shop yesterday for less than £2!! I had literally been considering buying it full price five minutes before!! So so psyched! I'd love to charity shop more, but unfortunately Daniel doesn't like shopping very much, and I find things are quite close together in those shops, meaning he can grab stuff of shelves etc far too easily! Boo!

Peanut M&M's, where have these been all my life. Yes, two of the things making me happy this week are food. Well, more than two really. I'm going to be the size of a house soon.

Come and link up your little bits of happiness!

218. Wordless[ish] Wednesday. Pancake Day!

[Yesterday was Shrove Tuesday, so my babyboy and I made pancakes! This was the first time I'd done cooking with Daniel, letting him help, and he loved it! I've bought a Peppa Pig cake mix to make this week too!!]

[Blueberries to eat, while the pancakes cooked]

[Daniel didn't even taste them! But he did have lots of fun breaking them up! Strange kiddo!]

[Blueberries with lemon juice & sugar for Mama!]

[My clever boy even copied SO MANY words while we were baking together, saying "pancakes", "flour", "berry" and "juice"!]

216. 22 months old!

Daniel actually turned 23 months last week, and I even remembered to take pictures, but other blog posts were more pressing, and then Friday night Colin went out so I watched Bridesmaids (not really a fan) & searched for nursery/wedding ideas online (if we're not following each other on Pinterest, we should be!), and then last night I went out to a friend's 30th party so no blogging got done! But, as always, this last month has absolutely flown by, my little baby is getting bigger and learning more every day and I could not be prouder of him!

Haircut!! So adorable and grown-up!

I took these photos on a whim, hence the terrible 'staying-at-home' outfit, but I took advantage of my fully charged camera and didn't even think about changing him into anything cuter, or even putting on some make-up and getting out the tripod! But, shh!

Daniel likes: Toy Story, alot, this kid would watch the three films over and over if he could, and is always asking for Woody; running or riding his trike everywhere; making Mama tea and toast; chasing and playing ball with the cat; going out for lunch; fruit and yogurt; playdough & cutting shapes; football, watching and playing; more complicated puzzles, and even tidying them up; all animals and vehicles; reading the same books over and over, particularly a lift-the-flap Spot book; choosing his own clothes & shoes.

Daniel dislikes: meat, mostly, unless breaded; when Mama says no to Toy Story or Peppa, or anything actually; when he can't do something, like putting the lid on his kettle, it must be pretty frustrating; nappy changes, with a vengeance.

Taking photos of himself, of course!

Daniel says: "Go, go, go!"; "Nana" (which obviously, his Nana's love!); "num-num" or "naak" for food/snack; "Woo-wi" for cousin Lewis; "door" which can mean lid too; counts "one, two, three"; "Shhh!" & "nuh-nigh" tucking you into bed; "bi-bi" biscuit; "cho-cit" chocolate; "toas'" for toast; "cat" for catch; "chips" & "beans" when asked what he'd like to eat; "GOAL!" with his arms in the air; "ju-ju" for juice; "boo" for spoon, and a pretty convincing fork. He's mimicking more and more words every day and it's completely adorable! He finally, after a zillion episodes of Peppa Pig, makes a pig noise too!!

Daniel can: sing along to music, and dance; "help" with washing, hoovering & the dishwasher; give the baby hugs and kisses; tell you what colour something is, if it's "boo" or sometimes "red", or "brown"; find socks or shoes on request; tell you where to wee-wee, but hasn't yet done it himself; give kisses on the cheeks; pat your back when he cuddles you; and a zillion other things but my Mum-brain has kicked in and my mind's gone blank!

Mmm, rocks and onions!
Making a hoover noise!
