202. Sunday in Photos

Sunday I decided it'd be fun to share 'a day in our lives', Monday-Friday I work mornings so that's pretty boring, but Sunday we usually do the same kinda thing so I decided 'today's the day!' & set alarms for every hour!

Daniel woke up late (YAY!) so this was a little after 9, we had a breakfast of jam on toast & bananas because we were out of milk.

Daniel asked to do painting, so I decided to be uber organised & start our valentines cards, using red paint and glitter!!

Storytime with Mama

Lunchtime, early because Daniel hadn't slept that morning, and that usually guarantees a longer nap in the afternoon. Grilled cheese all round!

Daniel was sleeping, so Mama took the chance to get ready & made up a little.

Daniel was still sleeping, I was blogging, which I did take a photo of but I didn;t upload it so you'll just have to use your imagination!

In the car on the way to visit Great-Grandad Reg with Nana & Grandad

Playing trains with Daddy, there is a giant train set at Colin's parents' & Daniel loves it!

"GOAL!" celebration while watching the football & eating goldfish.

Dinnertime, Daniel was being a fusspot (as always!) but he did eat some broccoli, sweetcorn & yorkshire. And pudding, of course!

It was too dark on our drive home, & I left my phone downstairs while we put Daniel to bed (quickly because it was late). After he was asleep I read more blogs, and watched a little TV with Colin before bed, nothing very picture worthy!

201. Our Week in iPhone Pictures [021]

23rd-29th January 2012
23rd-29th January 2012
23rd-29th January 2012

Drawing with Grandad; checking Facebook at breakfast; "stones mama!" & helping me push the pushchair; playing with cousin Lewis; Mama Baby snuggles; escaping from the bath; poorly rash! Thomas stories; big ole bump; building towers with stacking cups (best £2 I've ever spent!); funky.

We didn;t get up to much last week, two friends cancelled (boo!) so we spent a lot of time chilling inside, & apparantly being too busy to take pictures. Sunday I did a "Day in Photos" so stay tuned to see those!

Linking up with Amy at a good life for our week, where's yours?

199. Gender reveal...

It's a...

Today we went for our 20 week scan. I was so excited, I was practically counting down the hours until 2:20pm, getting annoyed at every text asking if we knew yet, and smiling like a Cheshire Cat!

My Mom, Colin and Daniel came along for the ride, I'm trying to include Daniel in as much of my pregnancy as possible (unfortunately, this even means the sick-y parts, he follows me EVERYWHERE and has even started spitting in the toilet... We're ignoring such behaviour!)

Our sonographer was so lovely, and Daniel was the sweetest thing in the world - I lay down on the bed and he pulled a chair right up close, climbed up and held my hand!! I melted into a puddle right thurr.

Anyway, onto the good stuff...

We're having another BOY! I'm so thrilled, I had an inkling I would have two little lads! Daniel's going to LOVE having a little brother, I'm sure!

She did the regular anatomy checks, growth is average, which is good, the scan was so clear, we could literally see every single bone of the spine!! He's developing perfectly!

Only minor concern is the fact that I have a low-lying placenta, which basically means it's partially blocking baby's exit, but it can right itself so I'm trying not to worry. We've been invited back for another scan to check it out at 32 weeks, & if it still hasn;t, 36 weeks, and then we'd discuss a c-section at that point. But for now I'm just going to keep my fingers crossed that it sorts out, and just be happy that we get to have another scan, & see my little boy again!

So now, I can really get going on nesting, and planning the nursery! Usefully, I saved ALL of Daniel's baby clothes so I might just have to buy a little "coming home" outfit for him (Daniel's didn;t fit and he had to come home in a regular babygro, I was gutted!) , but we're basically all set! I'm so undecided about a theme though, Daniel's is nautical/pirates & I was thinking maybe woodland? Especially as it'll only be a baby room really, as I want the brothers to share when they're a bit older!

Brothers. Wow.

198.20 week pregnancy update!

How far along: 20 weeks 6 days.

How big is baby: The size of a CANTALOUPE! Wow, when on earth did that happen?? 10.2 ounces & 6.5 inches long. Seriously?!

Maternity clothes: Definitely. I'm not far off the size I was when I HAD Daniel at the moment (i.e. HUGE) despite the fact I've only gained 3.7 kg!

Stretch marks: Not yet!

Sleep: Relatively well, sometimes I find myself on my front which is pretty uncomfortable, or feeling too hot/too cold but for the most part I'm doing well.

Best moment this week: Colin got to feel our little wriggler!

Belly button in or out: None of which to speak.

Craving: Fresh fruit. Donuts. Chocolate milk. Orange juice.

What I miss: Being able to carry & cuddle Daniel properly. He has to be on my hip otherwise I feel like my insides will burst!

What am I looking forward to: 2 1/2 days!!!

Milestones: Gulping down several ounces of amniotic fluid each day. Mmmm.

Wow. 20 weeks. Half way. Part of me wants my new little nugget here, right now! Another part wants it to stay put, am I really ready for another baby?! I know I'll love them both, but I hope Daniel copes okay with having another invade his life & take up all my time! I almost feel guilty, that he isn't going to have my attention 100% 24/7. I'm thinking about getting him a little doll to 'practice' & seeing as many babies as we can to get him used to the idea. I also quite like being pregnant, & it's pretty much a brilliant excuse to get away with anything! Like watching films all day or eating cereal at 10pm!

197. Our Week in iPhone Pictures [020]

Last week was a good week. Not fantastic, not terrible. To be honest, I can;t really remember what we did each day so I've just dumped all these pictures together, boo! I'll try and remember next week okay? I tried to post last night but my wi-fi keeps cutting out on my phone so it was near enough impossible to upload pictures! Enough excuses though, here are some cute pictures to keep y'all happy.

Pictured: toddler breakfast; the "baby shelf" in action; trike ridin'; working hard on the computer; bathtime baby; building block towers like a boss; bird watching with Grandma; looking incredibly cute in a huge cap; a playdate in the baby jail; pancakes for breakfast (I have eaten so much fruit this week!); painting (am I the only one who takes a zillion pictures of her kid painting? Seriously? It's like I can;t stop!)

You guys, I am SO upset by Picnik closing! I always use it, for most of my photo editing and more importantly, for these posts! Can anyone recommend a site for me to make these collages?! I'll love you forever!

196. 52 weeks of us [Week 02]

P1130070 2

I was pretty psyched for this 'photoshoot', I thought pictures of our family movie night would be so cute! Unfortunately, not so much, and I got bored of jumped up to set the timer so I didn;'t check them before it was too late! So, I played around with picnik to distract your attention from my dork face/us stuffing our faces with popcorn/Daniel's messy face!! But still, they're photos of my family and for that reason, I love them!

195. 19 week pregnancy update!

How far along: 19 weeks 5 days.

How big is baby: The size of a mango (woah!) at about 6 inches long and weighing about 8.5 ounces (so small!)

Maternity clothes: Leggings, mostly, but I need some longer tops to wear with them! I got a lovely pair of red trousers for work, which are under bump so they fit already, but they don't go with boots so I'm not wearing them very often (It's SO cold here right now!)

Stretch marks: Not yet!

Sleep: Last night I couldn't get to sleep because my tummy hurt so bad, I think it was the strain of lying to the side because as soon as I bunched half the duvet under my bump I felt much better. I think I need to invest in a magical maternity pillow - I already have a v-shaped feeding one, any suggestions?

Best moment this week: Yesterday morning I (& my friend Lora!) felt the baby move from the outside for the first time! SO early! Makes me so happy to feel him/her wiggling around in there!

Belly button in or out: Just flat right now.

Craving: Fresh fruit.

What I miss: Fitting into clothes! I had a ridiculous meltdown this morning because I couldn't find anything to wear! Boo! Silly pregnancy hormones made my morning REALLY hard.

What am I looking forward to: 9 days!

Milestones: Developing a protective coating over the skin & working on the senses. Wow.

This week has been pretty good, except for a little sickness & hormones running riot. I was having a tough time this morning for no real reason, and when we got close to school Daniel started screaming & I couldn't work out what was wrong so we both came home and had a movie-day, snuggled on the sofa. Makes me super scared about having TWO crying/difficult babies, but also super excited about having two babies to cuddle, weirdly!

I have a teeny feeling that we're having another boy! I haven't been able to decide before, I kept just changing my mind, but I just keep thinking about having two boys! Only time will tell!!

Trying to spend as much one-on-one time with Daniel as I can, doing special things. I'm finding having something to focus on helps me ALOT. For example, last week we did lots about buses, and I think this week we'll work on colours! I'm almost half way - HALFWAY people!! - which means only 21 weeks left of our little family of three!!

Pictured: playing with cars and buses at Nana & Grandad's; my fresh fruit cravings every evening; cheese faces for the dinosaurs on Peppa; a bus ride (!); drawing while Mama cooks dinner, in the kitchen; crazy sky; a tea party with my babyboy; sitting in a bucket; a little punk in the bath; a lazy Saturday morning reading books and colouring; drawing with Daddy; reading with Nanny; & a ketchup face!

A lazy post tonight, I'm trying to catch up on a trillion blogs, which is literally never ending!! I thought I'd taken LOADS of pictures this week, but not so much. Plus, I couldn't work out which days some of them were, so I just bundled them all together! Anyway, I'm allowed to be a little lazy if I'm pregnant right? I sure hope so, because today we spent most of the afternoon watching Toy Story & tidying the kitchen! Tomorrow we're making playdough!

Linking up to Amy, go there to see some super-sweet pictures & grab the code too, okay?

192. Steppin' Out Saturday.

I've wanted to join in this link up forever, I've had a couple of measly attempts with my tripod, but they never look as amazing as I want them too, and I always forget :/ So I decided 2012 was going to be the year for SOS. Especially with Colin not working weekends, he can be my photographer! Score! We wanted to take Daniel to the park on the way to see his Grandparents today, perfect opportunity, but it was doomed from the start. #1 I forgot my camera, serious fail. We had to use my iPhone, hence the terrible quality of pictures, #2 It was SO bright, you can barely see anything. #3 Daniel refused to be held or stand still for more than a nanosecond!! Dire. But, I'm posting them anyway, despite how awful they are!! Wish us better luck for next week okay?

[This is a terrible shot of my face, but shows of my outfit the best. Go figure.]

Momma B:
Coat: F&F at Tesco, last season.
Hat: Unknown.
Scarf: H&M.
Leggings: Primark.
Floral dress & amazing wedge shoe boots: H&M.

Coat: Gift from his Godfather, TU at Sainsburys.
Hat & scarf: Tesco.
Chino trousers: Next.
Boots: H&M.

191. 21 months old!

Oh my Lord, the last three months has flown by so unbelievably fast! I know I say it every time! Someone asked how old Daniel was the other day and I had to work it out! What with the excitement of the new baby, and Christmas, the time is going so quickly! So, wow, 21 months. My tiny little boy will be TWO in just 3 short months. We're thinking a dinosaur theme for his birthday party!! & then two months after that he will become a big brother! I bet that time comes round like tomorrow though, the way we're speeding through life at the moment!

These adorable pictures were taken yesterday at the park. We always walk past about three parks on the way home, but often we're in a rush to get home and can;t stop. Yesterday, however, we had no reason to rush home so we decided to spend some time playing. The park we went to didn't have much, but Daniel still seemed to have lots of fun!!

We're at such a fun age at the moment, it really does just keep getting better and better! My little nugget is such a joy to be around, he really is one of the happiest kiddos I have ever seen! Yes, we are starting to have the odd tantrum or two, especially when he is told off, but a quick cuddle from Mummy sorts that right out, and hopefully he'll learn soon enough. 99% of the time, he is a sweet, cuddly, playful boy, who loves his Mama (& Daddy, & Nanny, & Grandad!) very much!

[Hold on to your hat! It's windy!]

Daniel likes: walking instead of being in the pushchair; reading stories; doing puzzles; playing in his kitchen and making tea; fruit and snacks; drawing and painting; seeing Nanny & Grandad; talking on the phone; working hard on his laptop; spending more time with Daddy; anything Peppa Pig; pretending to play golf & football; drinking from a big boy cup or with a straw; "helping" Mama around the house, unloading the dishwasher and sorting the washing; diggers and tractors of any shape or size; Milo the cat; & being held like a baby!

Daniel dislikes: doing as he's told, most of the time; wearing gloves, even though his little hands must get so numb!; when Peppa & George finishes; & putting things away.

Daniel says: bubbles, woof-woof (dog), bo-bo (ball), boo (book), baby, cat, wa-wa (shower), bus, too-ta (scooter), juice, baa (bath), George, wee-wee, ga-ga (glasses), tissue, splash, ro-ro (Father Christmas?!) & ro-ro-ro (ho ho ho!), poon (spoon), na-na (night-night), go-go (golf) and a ton of other words that noone can understand. He's really trying now to say more words, it's adorable! He can also make animal sounds for elephant, lion/tiger, crocodile, cow, sheep, horse, cat, dog, duck, rabbit, & snake.

Daniel can: show you his head, nose, eyes, ears, teeth, tongue, belly, belly-button, hands, knees, toes and shoulders; mimic us calling the cat; ask you to blow his nose; take his own trousers and socks off; pour you tea & milk into your cup; drink out of a beaker without a lid & with a straw; show you his "guns"; blow kisses; tuck you in and say night night if you're lying down; drink his milk out of his cereal bowl (blame Dad!); dance with his arms and legs going; the actions to "Incy wincy spider", "Heads, shoulders", "Twinkle twinkle", "If you're happy and you know it"; turn the television on & do a very heart-melting 'please' for George; go to the fridge and get the milk out; splash Mummy in the bath (again, blame Daddy!)

We're looking forward to a weekend including (but not limited to) Daddy, going to the park, having cooked breakfast, seeing Grandparents and maybe even a family film night!
