148. Wednesday 28th September. Happy Birthday Uncle Connor!

My baby brother is EIGHTEEN today! Man, does that make me feel old or what? I remember when that kid was born!

Happy Birthday Uncle Connor! We hope you had a great day!!

We celebrated with dinner out at one of our fave restaurants, with the whole family, and the most AMAZING cake ever!

Right?!? That bad boy took me 3 and a half hours to make! With a mid-baking trip to Sainburys & only one cake tin (which meant I had to cook each layer separately!) I was up till midnight & it was SO worth it! I followed this recipe, via pinterest (which was also where I found my inspiration!) as the Whisk Kid recipe looked a little too complex for my liking (& I didn;t have enough butter!) & I am SO proud of myself, even if the icing went a teeny bit wrong, it still tasted and looked awesome!!

Also, Happy Belated Birthday Great-Grandad Reg!

I've walked MILES today, on my feet for three hours, & I'm absolutely shattered! MY legs & feet hurt too! Poor Mama! On the agenda tomorrow: Take Daniel to the amazing Pirate Ship park near his childminders', get Grandma's prescription for her, & tidy the house because it looks like a bombsite!! Woo!

Lots of Love

145. Sunday 18th September 2011 & A-Z

Last week, we got given a bag of hand-me-downs from Colin's Auntie's sister. They're often a bit hit & miss, especially this time as they took a while to get to us so loads of the stuff didn't even fit, but there are hidden gems (for example, both pairs of Oshkosh dungarees came from them) This time we found this adorable giant sleepsuit, Daniel hasn't worn one since he was about 6 months & it just made him look giant! But so so cute, right?

Babyboy's fighting sleep right now. The last few day's he's only been having one nap in the middle of the day, due to one reason or another, but today he's SO tired & I don't think he slept for that long at his chidminder's. But this is the second time I've tried putting him down, and while he's not crying, it's twenty to five so he's only got about an hour before dinner! Finger's crossed okay?

I went to see 'Crazy, Stupid, Love' at the cinema last night with two of my faves, & really enjoyed it! I hardly ever go to the cinema or watch films so it was quite a treat! Would definitely recommend, especially as the eye candy is pretty worth it!

I saw this A-Z on Casey's blog (she's totally awesome & always leaves me the sweetest comments, go and check her and her adorable little girl out! I always love finding out stuff about my favourite bloggers, so I thought I'd share my answers too!

144. iPhone pictures [008]

Okay, so I might be kind of cheating for this, but I just had to share these adorable pictures from Colin's iphone. I seriously can't wait to get one of my own, my incredibly-old one just isn't up to scratch!

The Monday after we came home from France, Daniel woke up SUPER early, & because Colin is amazing (& he had the day off!) he got up with him for me. When he woke me up at 7am, Daniel was zonked out on the sofa. Too cute.

Tuesday we wrapped up warm & headed to Nanny & Grandad's for dinner. FYI, Daniel sat in a puddle on the way, so that suit is definitely necessary!

Linking up to Amy @ A Good Life, she's awesome & you should definitely go check out her blog & adorable son! I'm such a sucker for a beautiful babyboy.

Today we were supposed to meet up with friends & check out a Mother & Toddler group, but she cancelled. Instead we made the most of having the car (One of Colin;'s colleagues' car broke down, so he's borrowing Colin's company car & Colin's using mine) & headed to the lovely park by our old house, before coming home & "napping" (He's asleep now, but it took 30 minutes of screaming, & getting him up once, with more screaming, for him to give in!) Photos to come!

143. Holiday [Part 2]

I have been a god-awful blogger lately, have barely even been reading blogs, I've been so busy yet I've hardly done anything! Tuesday my brand spanking new dishwasher was delivered (Hallelujah!) & it's amazing, definately knocks a lot of time off my housework! Wednesday I had training after work & then we went to see Lee Evans at Wembley (He was incredible! Absolutely hilarious!) Thursday we went to see a friend of mine from college & her little boy, Daniel was reallly tired but he played so so well, I was such a proud Mama! Friday we played at Nanny & Grandad's all day, & this weekend just flew by! We went to feed some ducks today but two ponds and no ducks! Daniel didn;t even seem to mind, he loved walking/running along holding Mummy & Daddy's hands, it was so adorable! But anyway, back to the holiday (which seems forever ago now!) we spent even more time:

Sailing! (Sort of, twas a pedalo!)

Eating more ice-cream!

Chillin' in cousin Lewis' three-man-boat!

Reading with Grandad.

Playing in buckets of water!

Jumping into the water & swimming with Daddy.

Awwwh-ing at this adorable teeny horse!

Playing with our new fave toy (stuck together with tape after we broke it five seconds after buying it!) & looking beyond cute in dungarees!

Looking very concerned at the people doing the zipwire, like Daddy & Uncle Connor!

Gazing at beautiful views & a wedding on the beach!

Waving goodbye to everyone and everything as we sailed away!

We had such a lovely 12 days, despite the weather my cousin (& Mum!) braved the pool every day, Daniel developed into even more of a water baby & even loved the sand after about five seconds! Best of all was spending so long with my boys, Colin doesn't get time off very often so it was super special for us!

142. Holiday [Part 1]

I'm so excited to be back blogging! Colin's become mildly obsessed with an online games which means, less laptop time for Momma! Boo! So, what with all my chores & my new job, it has literally taken me two weeks to sort and upload all our pictures! & now it's late because I had to wait forever for my new dishwasher (SO EXCITED!!!! !!!!1!1!11!) to be delivered (Seriously, who says 'from 2:15' if they aren't going to deliver till 9pm!?!). So now I'm going to stop moaning, & share some of my millions of photos from our vacay.

Our time in France was spent:

Laughing at Grandad eating a HUGE bit of bread.

Blowing bubbles, and having cuddles, with Nanny.

Learning how to drive.

Drawing smiley faces with suncream.

Eating (albeit not very much, Daniel Kyle started a fussy phase while we were away :/)

Chillin' in bed with Nanny & Grandad, eating biscuits in the mornings.

More splashing!

Reading books with Nanny.

Playing badminton/golf with Daddy.

Playing on Daddy's iPhone.

Feeding the ducks.

Eating ice-cream.

Visiting the horses (Yeah, that horse is biting Daniel's shoe!)

Eating more ice-cream (The raspberry was the favourite!)

Making sandcastles.

Loving the wagon.
